Hi, just wanted to add my two cents to all that you should try this recipe. I have been lurking on these boards for years and thought I have got to reply one of these days. Anyhow, This is truly a "to-die-for" dish! Shephard's Pie was often in our house, but when I saw the tag Irish Rovers (I love Irish music) I had to try it. It was fantastic. Nobody could figure out what that flavor was lurking around in their mouths, but they loved it. Finally, one of the cousins figured out it was nutmeg, it really is a great addition to Shepherd's Pie. I live in Newfoundland, Canada, which is stuck out in the North Atlantic and we are having wonderful weather for us. Take care and do try this recipe, but use real potaotes! And it's Goulash instead of American Chop Suey here also.
