What a great idea! I always have the dried ones around, but in the winter there may or may not be some tomato for my soups...thanks, now I have a good use for them!

Even when there are tomatoes in the store, they are sometimes so awful you just can't stand to spend anything on them, let alone suck up the "wintertime" price. Always gets worse around the solstice (X-mas).

Of course, I am spoiled by the ones from my garden in the summer.
