Sausage Cheese Balls
3 cups Bisquick 1 pound bulk pork sausage (I use one roll of Bob Evans brand) 4 cups shredded cheddar (16 oz.) 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. dried rosemary 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
Grease jelly pan roll or large cookie sheet. Shape mixture into 1" balls and place in pan.
Bbake at 350F. for 20 - 25 minutes or until brown. Immediately remove from pan and serve warm.
To Freeze -- place formed balls on sheet and freeze until solid. Place in ziplock bag and romove as many as needed. Bake from frozen state and add 5 or so e xtra minutes onto baking time.
Cheesy Sausage Bites
1 pound bulk turkey sausage 1/2 c. chopped green onions 3 cups Bisquick 2 cups reduced fat cheddar -- (8 oz.) 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 3/4 c. milk 1 cup Dijon mustard 1/4 c. honey
Mix Dijon and honey and set aside.
Cook sausage and green onionns in 10" skillet untiil brown, crumbling the sausage into small bits and drain.
Mix sausage mixture, Bisquick, cheese dry mustard, and red pepper in a large bowl. Stir in milk. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonsful 2" apart onto ungreased (I spray with Pam) and bake at 350F. for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
To freeze, mix but don't bake. Drop the blops onto sheets and freeze until solid and bag until needed. Increase baking time just slightly. Serve with dipping sauce.
