2 t Baking powder
1/2 c Water
1 c Raisins
3 ea Egg
1/2 t Each mace, cloves, cinnamon
1 T Honey
1/2 c Almonds
Behold there was a cake baked..............1 Kings 19:6 Blend butter, sugar, spices, and salt. Beat egg yolks and add. Sift in baking
powder and flour, then add the water and honey. Put fruit and nuts through food chopper and flour well. Follow Soloman's advice for making boys, first clause of Proverbs 23:14. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake for 1 hour in 375 deg F oven.

beaten egg whites and pour into a loaf pan (9x5x3) lined on the
bottom with wax paper. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350F) for 1 hour, or until done. Cool cake in the pan for 5 minutes. Turn cake out on a rack and peel off paper. Turn cake right side up to cool.
