Kristine- this is a great dessert. The fudge pie is so easy to make. Can be made
the day before and warmed just prior to serving. Top
it with ice cream then drizzle on Praline sauce garnish
with a sprig of mint.

FUDGE PIE

Re Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation
Method

3 squares chocolate
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
2 eggs

MELT CHOCOLATE AND BUTTER IN
DOUBLE BOILER. ( I PUT IN A METAL BOWL
IN THE OVEN FOR JUST A MINUTE TO
MELT)
MIX FLOUR AND SUGAR.
BEAT EGGS AND COMBINE WITH FLOUR
MIX.
ADD CHOCOLATE MIX.
POUR INTO WELL GREASED 9" PIE PAN.
BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 30-45 MINUTES.

SERVE WARM TOPPED WITH ICE CREAM.

PRALINE SAUCE

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1 stick butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup half and half
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup pecans -- chopped

Mix all ingredients in sauce pan.
Cook to boil stir for 4-5 minutes.
Add pecans.
Serve slightly warm or room temperature.
