I will post a couple of recipes that have always been a favorite at our parties. The cheese spread can easily be made in a mold (heart shaped) or even individual mold, using the soft rubber mint molds. If you use these, dust the mold with paprika before molding and have the spread cold. These made with heart molds and placed on a cracker would be nice. The chicken wings can be made ahead of time and reheated in the sauce. Another idea would be to make a choclate (brown or white) lace basket and fill it with long stemmed chocolate covered cherries. The cherries need to ripen at least a couple weeks so this all could be done soon. I like to use the 4" heart pan for the frame of the basket. By basket, I mean melting the candy coating and drizzling it randomly over the pan to make it a tight wicker look. If you are interested and want directions I will post them. The basket looks so prettty if done in white and place on a silver tray. This could be placed anywhere and not necessarily with the rest of the food. party sounds lovely. Am sure it will go well.

Cheese Spread

1 container (16 ounces) cheddar cheese spread, softened
11 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Paprike
Parsley
Crackers or bread
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except paprika, parsley, and rackers and bread. Blend thoroughly. Chill at least 4 hours. Even better overnight. Make into log, ball, or mold and sprinkle with paprika and/or snipped parsley. Makes about 3 1/2 cups

Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings
2 1/2 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
3 tablespoons cooking oil
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon soy sauce

Rinse cicken; ;at dry. Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing at joint to make 2 sections. In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic salt and lemon pepper seasoning; coat chicken pieces with flour mixture. Heat oil in a 12 inch skillet; add coated chicken pieces and cook till browned, turning occasionally. Remove chicken from skillet and arrange pieces in a shallow baking dish. In a medium pan, combine sugar, vinegar, pineapple juice, ketchup and soy sauce; heat to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, turning ieces over after 15 minutes. Makes 24-30 pieces.

Another nice thing to serve would be fresh fruit, dipped in chocolate and chilled.
