Punch Bowl Cake

1 box yellow cake mix--baked as directed; break into small pieces
2 boxes banilla instant pudding mix--mix as directed
2 large containers Cool Whip
2 cans cherry pie filling
2 large cans crushed pineapple (drained)
4 large bananas-- sliced
1 pint fresh strawberries
1 pint sliced peaches
Nuts (optional)

Layer cake in bottom of punch bowl. Layer puddingl Layer cherries, pineapple, bananas, peaches, strawberries, Cool Whip. Repeat. Garnish with nuts and strawberries. Cover with plastic wrap and chill.

Also had the same at a party...using just broken angel food cake, strawberries and whipped topping. Great. Don't have recipe for this one but...it shouldn't be too hard.

Perhaps... a friend could make it ahead for you and keep in refrigator.I cheat and chill everything except I can before assembling...Cuts cooling time considerably.
