My office has a dessert each month for those celebrating birthdays. Today we had strawberry shortcake as that dessert. It was simple, but in an elegant sort of way. They didn't use the little cups that are sold right along side the strawberries in the store, but they used a slice of pound cake and put the strawberries and whipped cream on top of it.
