I forgot about an idea I did for a church wedding that was a hit -- and suprizingly so. I cored apples and made round slices I put them in Absorbic Acid -- I found it a a food service store -- a powder that you mix with water that keeps fruit from turing brown. I blotted them dry and arragned on a nice tiered tray. Put swiss cheese slices on the red apples and a colby cheese slice on the green or yellow apples
the apples act as a cracker
they kept their crunch and were VERY tastey
I would not recommend doing this, but I left a tray in the back of the church fridge and it was forgotton -- a week later I found it and they were still fresh looking!!
