STUFFED MUSHROOMS
12 large mushrooms 12 mushroom stems 1/4 cup (50 ml) dry breadcrumbs 1/2 cup (125 ml) finely chopped pecans or walnuts 1/4 cup (50 ml) butter or margarine, melted 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) garlic powder 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) thyme sliced green onions for garnish chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Gently twist stems out of mushrooms. Set Mushroom caps aside.
Chop mushroom stems fairly fine. Mix with crumbs, nuts, butter, garlic powder and thyme. Stuff mushroom. Arrange on baking pan.
Garnish each with green onion or parsley. Bake in 350 degree F (180 C.) oven for about 20 minutes.
