I found this site because I was looking for iron on transfers and I wanted to share my ideas for a mickey mouse birthday party. My daughter loves mickey and is turning one in August 2008. I have a ton of ideas. Here they are in random order:
- do decoupage on a keepsake box using mickey decor and pictures of your child; inside put scrapbooks of her first year and also show a DVD of her pictures set to music.
- The food will be hot dogs with tons of different toppings (hot dog song!)
- I will have the mickey mouse cd as background party music.
- I am going to have Jays individual chips on a chip rack and a hot dog "cart" complete with checkered hot dog holders/wax paper; I will have the MM plates and napkins and to save some money I am getting plain red/yellow plates/napkins too. Red/black/yellow white balloons/ribbon, etc. Centerpieces for tables will be red and yellow ceramic pots with red/yellow/white flowers; table covers will be alternate as well with red/yellow/checkered and the kids table will be MM table cover.
- I am making my own banner and I think I will make a "menu sign" with different combinations for the hot dogs;
- I got yellow/red beach balls to put in the pool;
- I want to do a mickey theme attire for Hannah and also have myself and my husband and possibly the grandmas wear Mickey so I am trying to find some iron on transfers...I am also looking for a Mickey type dress for my baby girl, but have not had any luck.
- I am going to use the idea for the rice krispie treat favor; what a great idea and relatively cheap! Thanks! Oh and favors for the kids: I have big kids and toddlers; the big kids are getting in a MM treat bag: coloring book/crayons/blow outs/colored pencil/tatoo sheet/stickers/spiral MM notebook/crayons and bubbles and the toddlers are getting in a treatbag a rubber tub toy, small toy beach ball and toddler edible treats in a treatbag.
I hope this helps and my message was not too long!
