It sounds like you are having (sorta) a "Cajun" menu. You could try crawfish, corn on the cob, Corn bread. Those are inexpensive food items. Jambalaya is one of my husband's favorites. I always make cornbread and corn on the cob with it, as well as crawfish! I hope this helps.
