This is a southern pineapple pound cake (but no frosting)
8 eggs
2 c crisco
1 tsp vanilla
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple, undrained
3 c flour
3 c sugar
1 tsp salt
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour and salt gradually. Stir in vanilla and pineapple. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours. Or bake in two greased and floured loaf pans for about 1 hour.
