Derek,

My mother is from Norway. Some of the things she used to make for us were meatballs in a gravy like sauce (not tomoato), chicken and noodles,
she also made a really good chicken or turkey casserole, which had chicken (cubed and browned) on the bottom of the pan, then some dressing of some kind, then gravy over the top. We always had bread, lots of potatoes, especially scalloped. We had lots of scalloped corn, too (some people call it corn pudding). Bread or rice pudding is a good dessert, too. They like that stratchy stuff!! But they are wonderful people to cook for. Hope this helps
