1 lb. ground beef
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup dried onion soup mix
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups thinly sliced peeled raw potatoes
1/4 cup dried onion soup mix
1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. grated process American cheese (1 cup)
Mix well in bowl; beef, milk, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup soup mix, salt.
Spread evenly in a shallow baking dish. Arrange over meat the mixture
of potatoes, 1/4 cup soup mix, parsley flakes, salt. Cover and bake
about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle the grated cheese
over the potatoes. Bake uncovered 15 minutes longer or until the
potatoes are tender.
