Baked Beans with Ground Beef (crock pot)
My favorite recipe to share. I'm going to give you one recipe that will fill the large (5 qt) crock pot. I find this will serve from 20 to 25 people depending on
what other things you are serving.

2 large cans (the tall ones of pork and beans)
2 (8 oz) cans of tomato sauce
1 lb. of brown sugar (yes 1 lb.!)

Place those ingredients in the crock pot and stir.

In a frying pan, cook one lb. of lean hamburger with one onion sliced. Salt and pepper to taste drain any fat and discard. Add to the pork and bean mixture.

Cut up one lb. of smoked bacon, fry until cooked. Drain
the grease off, and also add to the beans and meat mixture.

Cook 4 to 5 hours on high.

It is delicious. Fattening, but wonderful. once in a while we need to enjoy ourselves! try it you'll like it!
