Hi Phil, Here's a recipe from Lipton that might spice it up a little. Betsy CARAMELIZED ONION TOPPING Make it once...and it's soon to become a classic at all your barbecues! 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1-1/2 pounds Spanish onions, sliced 1/4 cup water 1/3 cup Wish-Bone Italian Dressing In 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook onions and water, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes. Stir in Italian dressing and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Serve as a topping for grilled or broiled burgers, steaks or chops. Makes 2 cups topping. Also terrific with Wish-Bone Fat Free Italian, Robusto Italian, Classic House Italian or Lite Italian Dressing. Variation: To make with Wish-Bone Fat Free Dressing, omit butter, increase water to 1/3 cup and use a 12-inch nonstick skillet. Taste Tested Recipe from The Lipton Kitchens
