Butter Cookie recipe
2 cups butter 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 cups all purpose flou powdered sugar
Cream butter and sugar together. Add vanilla and mix. Stir in flour, mixing with hands when dough becomes stiff. Press and mold into 3 long rolls about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill for several hours. slice aobut 1/2 inch thick and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while slightly warm. The unbaked dough will keep in the refrigerator several days.
