This is from a BSA publication a number of years ago. It is called bread but actually a bar. Hope it will suffice.

HUDSON BAY BREAD

3/4 pound margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup dark Karo syrupp
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoons maple flavoring
Cream together the above ingredients. Add while mixing:
3/4 cup finely ground pecans
9 cups oatmeal

Spread in a large sheet pan. ( I use a jelly roll pan) BAke at 325 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until light brown all over. As soon as it is taken from the oven, use a spatula to presss it down. This presses the bread together to keep it from crumbling. Cut while still warm. Wrap individually. Will freeze nicely.
