Teena, I have a Cincinnati chili recipe that makes a great hot dog sauce.

IT STARTS WITH A MIX:
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 cup dry onion flakes
1/2 cup chili powder
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder or carob powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cardamom
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cilantro or coriander

Use 5 tbsp. mix for 1 recipe Chili.

FOR THE CHILI:
Cook until no longer pink:
1 pound ground beef
Add:
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 tbsp. vinegar
Simmer about 1 hour.

Serve with pasta, diced sweet onion, kidney beans and shredded cheddar cheese for Cincinnati chili or serve over hot dogs on buns for chili dogs.
