My German Grandmother's Recipe for Jewish Apple Cake
Put in bowl: 3 Cups flour 2 cups sugar 1 cup oil 4 eggs 1/4 cup pineapple or orange juice 3 tsp baking powder 3 tsp vanilla
Mix together just enough so it is a smooth thick batter.
Mix together: 4 medium sliced apples 1 cup sugar (for sweet apples use 3/4 cup) 2 tbsp cinnamon
Put half of the batter in a greased tube pan then half of the apple mixture. Repeat next layer the same. Top with remaining apples.
Bake 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
