I thought it would be fun to start a thread to share cooking-related tips and info. We probably know a lot of the same 'tricks', but they're worth repeating in hopes of finding those that will make us say:

WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!

Here are a couple to start:

- For great no-bake Strawberry Shortcake get the biscuits at your local fried chicken franchaise - they're made fresh all day. Great to pick up on the way to a picnic or on the way home from work for a quick dessert. (I learned this from a neighbor and friend years ago.)

- Storing your jello and pudding boxes and seasoning mix envelopes in large zipper-locked plastic bags keeps them from travelling all over the cupboards. The gallon size plastic bags are good for holding plastic bowl lids too.
