Marked: 0 Tagged: 0 Ingredients: 1/2 Cup margarine, softened 1 box yellow cake mix 1/2 Cup sweetened coconut 3 Cups fresh apples, peeled, sliced, cored (enough to cover mix) 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1 Cup sour cream 2 egg yolks or 1 egg
Instructions: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut butter into cake mix (dry) until crumbly, mix in coconut. Pat mixture lightly into ungreased oblong pan 13x9, building up slightly at the edges. Bake 10 minutes. Arrange apple slices on warm crust. Mix cin and sugar and sprinkle over apples. Blend sour cream and egg and drizzle over apples (topping will not completely cover apples). Bake 25 min or until edges are light brown. Do not overbake. serve warm. Comments: A few notes-it is still good if overbaked a little. This dessert is more of a messy finger food. It can be hard to cut with a fork. I just cut squares for serving and usually people pick it up like pizza. Also great with ice cream, wipped cream and cold.
