BAKED FRENCH TOAST
I got this out of FAMILY CIRCLE 12/19/95 page 134
makes 6 servings, 475 degress for 15 minutes

3 tbsp melted butter
1 1/2 cups milk
3 eggs
2 tbsp confectioner's sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
6 slices egg bread (challah), cut into 1-inch slices

1. Heat oven to 475 degrees

2. Drizzle melted butter onlo 17 x 15 inch jelly-roll pan (I use my cookie sheet covered with foil)

3. Whisk together milk, eggs, confectioners sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in large bowl. Dip both sides of bread into milk mixture; place on prepared pan. Pour any remaining milk mixture over bread. Let stand 20 minutes, turning bread over a couple of times.

4. Bake in oven, turning once, until puffed and golden, for about 15 minutes.
