hi,
to make the meat paste, i pick out the meaty bits from the pot roast leftovers and liquify them in the food processor, using the beef broth for moisture.
i think if i didn't have "meat and potatoes" leftovers, i would use a tube of Oscar Meyer liver sausage sandwich spread. But then, I like liver sausage enough to use up the leftovers in sandwiches.
I also forgot to tell you:
1. Roll out 1/2 inch thick to cut.
2. This is one of those projects that's a lot more fun with Kids in the Kitchen.
