Hi Crissy,

Being from wisconsin, I'm always looking for good Brat recipes.
They are just about as hard to find as good Bratwurst. I came across
this recipe and tried it and could not believe how good it was. I do
something a little different though. I place the brats in a slow cooker
with the sauce and let them cook for three hours or more and you would
not believe the results. try it !!

10 bratwurst
flour
1 Tbsp. butter
1 small cam tomato paste
1/2 cup catsup
1 cup tomato juice
1 can beer
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 clove fresh garlic, finely chopped
dash of worcestershire sauce

Place bratwurst in large pot of hot water for 8-10 minutes. Water must not
be allowed to boil!! Remove bratwurst, dry with paper towels and roll in
flour until covered. Melt butter in frying pan and fry bratwurst until nicely
browned. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan and heat to a simmering
stage. After bratwurst have been browned, place them in prepard warm sauce
until served.

NOTE: The longer you slow cook the brats in that sauce, the more tender and
better tasting they get!
