SIMPLE SYRUP

2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups water

Combine ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
