Janet here is a recipe that is VERY well used. I have made 2 batches in the past 2 days for my sons school.
Chocolate Crackles 1 package Duncan hines deluxe devils food cake mix 2 eggs slightly beaten 1TBS water 1/3 cup crisco Icing sugar
Blend together dry cake mix, eggs water and crisco with a spoon. The batter will be very stiff if you have to add a very small amout of water to help. Form into 1tsp size balls and roll into confectionary sugar (icing sugar) coat well. lace onto non stick cookie sheets. Bake at 325 for 13 mins.
I have been told that you can use any cake mix you would like and that the best is a lemon mix.
