Title: So Easy & Good... Homemade Hot Rolls Posted By: Linda Date: December 8th 1998 In Reply to: ISO:Yeast Rolls Recipe Board: A Board For Bakers
from Sue's Recipe (restaurant)
3/4 c sugar 2 sticks oleo (I used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter) 2 t salt 1 c water
Combine in saucepan over low heat to melt oleo. Cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve: 2 pkg yeast in 1 c lukewarm water
Add to first mixture.
Beat 2 eggs and add to above. Stir in 6 cups of unsifted flour. Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Roll out on lightly floured board. Cut and place about 1 in apart on greased cookie sheets. Let rise about 2 hrs in a warm place.
Bake at 375 for until light golden brown, about 15 min.
(Dough will keep several days in the refrigerator) (Make sure oleo mixture & yeast/water are lukewarm - not too hot or cool)
I undercook some of these and freeze them, then pop them into the oven for a few minutes to finish and I've got homemade rolls any time.
