Anne,
Have you tried Hot Cider or Hot Chocolate mixes?
Or maybe something that will help a busy hostess get
through the holidays. I get a lot of ideas out of our
local newspaper's food section. Here are some for flavored
rices:Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Divide equally into four containers-
jars with lids or plastic bags. Seal tightly. Cooking time and water remains the same for the rice given.

1.)Porcini Rice Pilaf
1 T powdered beef bouillon
4 c uncooked rice
1 c chopped dried porcini or other dried mushrooms
1 t dried thyme
2 t dried parsley
1/4 t cracked black pepper

2.)Onion Rice
4 c uncooked rice
1/4 c dried onion flakes
1/2 t garlic powder
1/4 t celery seeds
1/2 t coarse salt
1 t dried pasley

3.)Chicken or Lemon Rice
4 c uncooked rice
4 T powdered chiken bouillon
2 t dreid tarragon
2 t dried chopped chives
1/4 t ground white pepper
for Lemon Rice, substitute 1 1/2 T grated lemon rind, 2 t dried parsley,
and 1/2 t cracked plack pepper for the last 2 ingredients.

If your area goes more for the baking mixes why not
sell pre made, refridgerated cookie dough? Maybe add a few
seasonal touches like peppermint candies or M&M's.

Good luck,
Julie
