TACO SALAD 1 med. onion, chopped 1 lb. ground chuck or ground round 1 pkg. taco seasoning 1 large head lettuce 1 med. tomato, chopped 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese 1 can Bush's chili beans (12 oz.) 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos (8 oz.) 1 bottle Kraft Catalina dressing (16 oz.) Add chopped onion to hamburger and brown meat. Drain meat thoroughly. Add taco seasoning packet to meat, along with any water required. Set meat aside to cool. Chop up lettuce and place in a large bowl. Add diced tomato and some chopped onion, if desired. Sprinkle shredded cheese over lettuce. Drain can of beans and add to salad. Spread meat mixture on top. Just before you're ready to serve, crush the Dorito chips and sprinkle on top of the salad. Pour salad dressing over the salad and mix thoroughly (I usually use only about half of the bottle). Serves: a lot. You might want to cut down recipe if only serving 3 or 4.
