Here's one I found in a book . . .
MAY WINE BOWL
2 bottles white wine
4 oz. sugar
8 oz. clean whole small strawberries
Fresh woodruff
Cover the woodruff with the sugar in a small glass and allow to stand for several hours. Add 2 cups of wine to the sugar and woodruff and allow to stand again, overnight. Turn out the sweetened wine into a large punchpowl; add the remaining wine plus chunks of ice immediately before serving. Decorate with the strawberries.
