Hopefully someone will have the exact recipe you're looking for. This recipe from our archive doesn't include chocolate stars, but you could pop one on each cookie when they come out of the oven.

Easy Chocolate Brownie Cookies

1 pkg. family size brownie mix
3/4 c. flour
6 Tbsp. cooking oil
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. water
3/4 c. pecans or walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11 minutes. Store in airtight container.
