I make a Hungarian dish called "snowy potatoes with ham." To your recipe for 8 servings of mashed potatoes, add 3 ounces of cream cheese and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. After this is blended well, stir in 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh chives. Place in a buttered casserole, scatter 3/4 cup diced, cooked ham on top, drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted butter and sprinkle with paprika. Place in the oven for 15 to 20 mintues to heat through. I hope you enjoy this dish as much as my family does!
