This is from the real old booklet that came with my Mother’s cookie press back in the 50's. It has different recipes than are in the more contemporary booklets.
For the Mirro Cookie Press – Brown Sugar Bar Cookies Time: 8-10 min. Temp: 375 F 1/2 Cup butter or shortening 1 Cup soft Brown Sugar 2 Eggs beaten 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 Teaspoon Mapeline 3 Cups sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 Teaspoon salt 1/2 Teaspoon soda
1. Cream the shortening and add sugar gradually. 2. Add beaten eggs and flavorings. 3. Gradually add flour sifted with salt and soda. 4. Fill the cookie press using the ribbon template and bake.
