If anyone is looking for an easy but very good brisket recipe here is one of the easiest and can be prepared a day before serving to cut down on cooking time while entertaining:

1 beef brisket-any size, not corned beef
1 pkg onion soup mix
3-4 tbsp ketchup

In double layer of foil, place beef. Top with soup mix and ketchup. Bake at 325 for 2-2 1/2 hours. Remove from foil and slice thin. Use drippings and water to make a gravy. If serving the next day, rewrapp sliced beef in single layer of foil and bake another hour at 325 to warm before serving.
