: does anyone have receipe from real fryed chichen?????

My mother (in North Fla.) makes fried chicken this way:
Wash and pat dry all you chicken pieces. In a large zip plastic bag fill
about half full with flour, add pepper, salt, parsley, garlic powder and
parmesan cheese(optional). Shake to mix. Add chicken pieces a few at a time
and shake to coat. Put on a plate until the oil is ready. In a large fry
pan (I use my electric wok) heat oil(corn or canola) until very hot and add
chicken pieces. Fry similar size pieces at a time, all the legs and wings a
one time, the breasts and thighs together, if doing two batches. It takes
20-30 minutes, turn about halfway through, until they are golden brown.

I realize this recipe is very vague, but that is how many southern women cook.
I hope it helps.
