Hi,

I hope this recipe helps. The strudel comes out really well, and it's easy because you don't have to make the dough. You and your daughter should be able to make it together.

Apple Strudel

1/2 package Pepperidge Farm Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet)
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
2 tablespoon raisins

Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 30 minutes Preheat oven to 375F. Mix egg and water. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon. Add apples and raisins and toss to coat. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Roll into 16" x 12" rectangle. With short side facing you, spoon apple mixture on bottom half of pastry to within 1" of edges. Starting at short side, roll up like a jelly roll. Place seam-side down on baking sheet. Tuck ends under to seal. Brush with egg mixture. Cut several 2" long slits 2" apart on top. Bake 35 minutes or until golden. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack 30 minutes. Slice and serve warm. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar if desired. Serves 6.
