EGG YOLK COOKIES

1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
6 egg yolks
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring

Mix in order given (shortening, sugar, egg yolks, flour,
soda, cream of tartar, vanilla and lemon flavoring), adding
soda and cream of tartar to flour. Roll into small balls. Dip in sugar and flatten on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 60 cookies.
