Even VIPs get tirsd of too elaborate stuff. Personally I think fruit of some kind is good, but/so what about:
- Sugered red currents with vanilla custard and lemon balm leaf,
- Baked Alaska, shortcake sprinkled with sherry or liquer, covered with isecream and fruit, then a maringue on top and a quick!! trip into the oven
- Fresh fruit salad with lots of melon, cherries and strawbarries. Sauce made of fruit-yoghurt mixed with whipped cream and some liquor.
- black-berries, peaches and cardamom ice cream
- strawberry/rhubarb-sherbet with ginger sauce AND chocolate sauce
--Peche Melba - with raspberry suce and vanilla ice-cream
- Poires Belle Helene - with wanilla ice-cream and hot chocolate sauce,(and candied violets!)
- Strawberry Romanoff - small strawberrises marinated in orange juice and Grand Marniere, with Chantilly sauce - a mixture of whipped cream and raw egg-yolks beaten stiff with a little sugar.
Well - you know -
