I work for the Sunnyside School District Food Service Department. I came upon the request from Ms. Trujillo for the Lincoln Log Recipe that used to be served at Sunnyside High School. I've cut down the recipe, so here it is. Enjoy!!

Lincoln Logs

2 cups sugar
1 cup Light Karo Syrup*
2 cups crunchy Peanut Butter
2 quarts corn flakes

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil. Add peanut butter and corn flakes to mixture. Remove from heat and mix well. Spread warm mixture on to a buttered cookie sheet. Let stand until cooled off. When pan is totally cooled, cut into logs.

Enjoy!!

*We used commodities from the government when we made the Lincoln Logs and most times we did not buy the Karo syrup because it was too expensive. So if you want them to be exactly like Sunnyside high school's then you need to divide the Karo syrup in half and use honey for the other half. It was cheaper that way. Thanks!
