Mayo-Parmesan Bread

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp. snipped chives or parsley
4 or 5 slices 1/2 inch thick French or Italian bread

In small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese and mayonnaise. Stir in chives or parsley. Set aside.

Place bread slices on rack of unheated broiler pan. Broil 3-4 inches from heat about 1 minute or until toasted. Turn bread over, spread some of the mixture on untoasted side of bread.

Broil mixture side up 3-4 inches from heat for 2-3 minutes or until light brown.

Hot Parmesan Bread

1 loaf French bread
1/4 cup soft butter
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 drops Tabasco
1 small can diced green chilies
Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Slice the bread lengthwise and spread with butter.

Mix rest of ingredients and spread over each half. Wrap foil around each half loosely so top isn't covered.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until topping is brown and bubbly. Slice and serve.

Hi Miriam,

I don't know if these are like what you're looking for - the peppers aren't included but you can add those. Hopefully someone will have the exact recipe to share.

Happy Cooking!

Betsy
