A co-worker of mine used to bake a quick bread made with grape nuts, and every year at the holidays she gave everyone in the office a loaf. That was a *lot* of loaves. It was rather sweet in a brown sugary kind of way. I don't know if she used a whole grain flour, but the loaf was the color of whole-wheat bread and you couldn't really see the grape nuts. She made it in coffee cans. No other additions - no raisins, no nuts. I guess I never *fully* appreciated the grape nut bread, or I would have asked her for the recipe. But she moved away a number of years ago, and every year at Christmas time I get a real hankering for it. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

TIA,
Ilene
