Hi Earl:-) I have made Creme Brulee a few times, as well as having had it at restaurants. It is a custard and, to me, the consistency is similar to pudding, or the filling for a banana or coconut cream pie - smooth and creamy. The ingredients you listed look fine to me as far as amounts are concerned but you didn't say how you baked it. Did you make individual creme brulees and did you use a water bath? If so, the consistency you desrcibed was probably the way it should be for this recipe. If you aren't so sure about it, you could try a different recipe and see if there is any difference in the consistency. I hope that this has helped you some.
