This is the spaghetti sauce I make all the time. I make it in the microwave in about half an hour. Tastes like it has been cooking all day.
In a 3 quart casserole, brown:
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
Drain the fat and add:
1 28 oz. can tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. grape jam
Cover and microwave on high for 10 minutes. Stir and microwave on low for 20 more minutes.
