CHERRY MASH BARS
2 cups sugar
12 large marshmallows
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
2/3 cup evaporated milk
Dash salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (6 oz) package cherry chips
1 (12-oz) package chocolate chips
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 cups salted, crushed peanuts
Combine sugar, marshmallows margarine, evaporated milk and salt in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for five minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove pan from heat, add cherry chips and vanilla; stir until chips are melted. Pour mixture into a buttered 9x13-inch pan and refrigerate.
In saucepan, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove pan from heat, stir in peanuts and spread over cooled cherry layer. Refrigerate bars until cool.
