BRANDY SAUCE 1 cup water 1/2 cup sugar 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. nutmeg 2 Tbsp. butter 1/4 cup brandy Mix dry ingredients and then add them while stirring into cup of boiling water. Boil 5 minutes and then add butter, brandy and vanilla. Serve hot. Nutmeg can be omitted, if desired.
