RED CANDY APPLES 8 to 10 medium apples popsicle sticks 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. red cinnamon candies 1 c. light corn syrup Put sticks in apples. Boil remaining ingredients to hard crack stage; quickly dip apples in syrup. Put on greased waxed paper and cool. Yield: 8 to 10 servings. RED CANDY APPLES
3 c. sugar 1/2 c. light corn syrup 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. red food coloring 8 apples Cook sugar, corn syrup and water until it reaches 285 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from fire, add cinnamon and food coloring. Stir until color is blended. Insert wooden sticks into apples, dip into this mixture. Drain apples on buttered pan, wax paper or foil.
