Janet mentioned smoothies, but didn't really give a recipe. I peel them, slice them, and then freeze bananas in a large ziploc bag, without any additives, but that's because my husband eats them up so quick. For a delicious, simple breakfast, place the following in a blender: a large handful of frozen banana slices, about a cup of other frozen fruit (such as strawberries, peaches, or blueberries) and about a cup of apple or orange juice. Blend until creamy. You may need to adjust the amount of juice...if it's having trouble blending, just add a little at a time, until you have a nice creamy consistency. My husband (the fruit nut) eats this every morning and sometimes before working out. And my best friend Darrin used to make a delightful fruit salad with banana slices, grapes, strawberries, apple slices, and kiwi slices. Toss those together in a bowl and add some poppyseed dressing. Yum!
