Hello Debbie, I do not know how many you have to prepare for, but an all time favorite of young and old is: PIZZA CASSEROLE as follows. 1 - (4-oz.) pkg. sliced pepperoni, 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 cup grated swiss cheese, 1 lb. Mozzarella Cheese, Sliced, 1/2 tsp. oregano, 1/2 tsp. basil, 1 med. onion, chopped, 6-oz. Thin spaghettti, cooked, 2- (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce, 1-( 4-oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained. Cover pepperoni with water and boil for 4 minutes. Drain. Saute' onion in 1 1/2 Tbls. butter. Pour remaining butter in a baking dish (11 x 7 x 2 ). Toss cooked spaghetti in butter. Cover spaghetti with 1 can of tomato sauce. Next, layer: one-half of the grated swiss cheese, one-half of the pepperoni, one-half of the Mozzarella, all of the mushrooms and onions, then sprinkle with oregano and basil. Top with remainder of Swiss cheese, pepperoni, 1 can of tomato sauce, and finally Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 for 20-25 min. Serves 6. This is very filling so the serving size is right. I have doubled this recipe and served 10 - 12 people. I would make a tossed salad to go with this and have french bread also. Hope this helps and your dinner goes great! |
